The Annual Inter-Unit Male and Female Road Relay Championship 2025 showcased the endurance, teamwork, and determination of soldiers across the Guyana Defence Force (GDF). This highly anticipated event brought together the best from various units, all competing for top honors in a true test of stamina and resilience.
The relay started at Hauraruni village along the Linden Soesdyke Highway and concluded at Camp Sipu, Base Camp Stephenson, Timehri.
In the male category, 31 Special Forces Battalion (31 SF Bn) emerged victorious, displaying superior pace and strategy while the Intelligence Corps (Int Corps) secured second place with an impressive performance, and 1 Infantry Battalion (1 Inf Bn) finished strong in third place.
The female category saw an equally competitive race, with Defence Headquarters (DHQ) taking first place and Coast Guard (CG) followed closely, demonstrating remarkable endurance to secure the second spot. Base Camp Stephenson (BC(S)) females secured the third spot.
The 2025 Road Relay Championship was a true display of athletic excellence, highlighting the physical fitness and teamwork that define the GDF.
