CADET DAY MESSAGE- Building Positive Character through Skills Development

Written by

Today the Guyana National Cadet Corps celebrates its 5th Anniversary under the theme, “Building Positive character through skills development.”

The GNCC gives you the Cadets access to an unparalleled range of activities, which aid in the development of your discipline, leadership, good morals, friendships, and lifelong skills. The GNCC inspires you, our Cadets, to challenge your limits and abilities and climb higher on the ladder of life.

As we celebrate this week, I urge you to develop valuable personal abilities, build on your life skills such as teamwork, resilience, confidence, leadership, loyalty, and a sense of pride. As you embody these skills, I encourage you to be valuable citizens and be of service to others. This year’s expansions will see 14 new schools being inducted into the programme, bringing the total number of schools to 48 and approximately 3500 cadets.

As we celebrate as a Corps, I encourage you Cadets to continue to be a beacon and the best example to those who are not yet part of the programme. To the instructors, be the best example of service, so that your colleagues and students can emulate.

Happy 5th Anniversary to the Guyana National Cadet Corps.
