Corporal Zoeanny Kyte is a dedicated soldier in the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) known for perseverance, discipline, and a passion for training. Born in Tacama, Berbice River, and raised in Paradise, East Coast Demerara, her father’s military service inspired her to enlist. She saw the military as a path to stability and professional growth and successfully completed the Basic Recruit Course (BRC) in 2012.

Over her 12 years of service, she has become a key member of the Training Corps, preparing recruits and junior soldiers. Through extensive experience and completion of all courses required for her rank, she firmly believes core military skills, physical fitness, shooting, and drills are essential for all soldiers.

In 2023, she proudly served as the lone female instructor on the Junior Leaders Course, proving her capabilities in a male-dominated environment. She takes pride in shaping soldiers’ skills, discipline, resilience, and leadership.

Passionate about uplifting others, she encourages women in the military to embrace soldiering and pursue leadership roles, breaking traditional boundaries through persistence and hard work.
