The Guyana Defence Force hosted a Mess Dinner at the Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Mess, Base Camp Ayanganna, to formally dine out twenty (20) retired Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.
The event, held on Thursday evening, brought together members of the Force in a display of military tradition, respect, and camaraderie. In attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan, MSS, Senior Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, and special invitees.
The Dining Out ceremony, a longstanding military custom, signifies the official farewell to those who have completed distinguished service to the Force and the nation. The evening’s programme featured the traditional dining formalities, toasts, and moments of fellowship, highlighting the enduring bonds forged through years of shared service and dedication.
As the twenty retirees were dined out, the atmosphere reflected both pride and reverence, a fitting tribute to their loyalty, discipline, and contribution to the Guyana Defence Force.
