The Guyana Defence Force’s on-base day care centre, the Margaret Rose Arthur Day Care Centre, recently hosted a festive Easter tea party and hat show, bringing together parents, teachers, and children for a morning of warmth and interaction.

The tea party created a relaxed setting for parents and teachers to engage in light yet meaningful conversation, strengthening the sense of community within the school. For the children, the experience provided an opportunity to develop social and language skills through interaction with their peers in an enjoyable environment.

The activity also featured a series of engagements designed to stimulate imagination and creativity. Through dramatic play and guided interaction, the children were encouraged to express themselves while supporting their cognitive development.

A highlight of the morning was the colourful hat show, where the children proudly showcased their Easter-themed creations. The display reflected a vibrant mix of creativity and individuality, with each child presenting their design with confidence and enthusiasm, fostering early presentation skills and self-expression.

Overall, the event was a joyful and memorable occasion, reflecting the Guyana Defence Force’s continued commitment to fostering holistic development within a supportive and nurturing environment.
