Sergeant (SGT) Coreen Souvenir is a dedicated and resilient member of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Training Corps, playing a crucial role in shaping the next generation of soldiers. To date she has clocked 19 years of service as she continues to balance the demands of military life with motherhood, proving that perseverance and dedication yield success.

SGT Souvenir enlisted in 2005, seeking stability and a meaningful career. She has since completed the Basic Recruit Course, the Junior Leaders Course, Section Commanders Course, Platoon Sergeant Course, Drill Course, and Skill-at-Arms Instructor Course.
For 12 years, she served in the Agri Corps, leveraging her background from the Guyana School of Agriculture. These experiences honed her leadership and instructional abilities, making her a valued asset to the development of soldiers.
In 2018, she transitioned to the Training Corps, where she found her true passion—mentorship and training. She continues to play an instrumental role in shaping the skills, discipline, and professionalism of countless soldiers and recruits, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of military excellence.
A devoted trainer, SGT Souvenir takes pride in preparing soldiers through rigorous drills, parades, and tactical instruction. Her commitment to excellence is evident in every recruit she mentors, reinforcing the values of dedication and discipline that define the GDF.
