The Joint Services of Guyana recently held a formal Dinner Night at the Officers’ Mess, Base Camp Ayanganna, bringing together senior officers and invited guests in recognition of a series of coordinated training activities conducted by the Joint Services Training Committee.
Over the past weeks, ranks from the various services participated in a robust schedule of study days, internal security exercises, and command post simulations. These sessions were designed to strengthen operational synergy, reinforce strategic leadership, and ensure enhanced interoperability among the security services.
The Joint Services Training Committee is chaired by the Commandant of the Guyana National Reserve, Colonel Lloyd Souvenir and supported by Deputy Commissioner of Police Simon McBean and continues to play a pivotal role in fostering joint preparedness and unified response capabilities.
During the evening, officers also benefited from a special awareness session hosted by the Chief Elections Officer, Vishnu Persaud and a team from the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM). The session served to provide important insights relevant to the upcoming National and Regional Elections.
The Dinner Night provided a timely opportunity for reflection, engagement, and renewed commitment to the values of service, professionalism, and unity across the Joint Services, as they continue to prepare for national responsibilities ahead.
